Why is there such a lack of concern by
our COMMUNITY for children with poor behavior? We all know who they are,
we label them so we can talk about them. Everyone knows Billy the bullies,
dirty Maria, lonely Juan or scary Jake. (Don't get caught up on the names, substitute your own)
What we need to get caught up on is the results of NOT being PRO ACTIVE.
The facts are screaming - "It's time to ACT! Are you not feed up living in a
time when those with poor behavior not only RULES, but we also PAY to support them?
K THROUGH 3 - Kindergarten through 3rd grade, the learning age is the successful years for pro-active interventions!
Poorly behaved children between 5 to 9 become our 13 to 20 angry, feared, dangerous, lonely teenager. To soon they become 19 to 28 years old inmates. It is then we openly show what seams to be, a sudden interest.
My Grandpa had a saying for this type of thinking. "Do not wait to close the barn door until after the animals are out?" By the time they are inmates we have accepted, put up with and paid many times for their poor behavior, but it takes how much before we see it as criminal. Is it because NOW our legal system thinks it time for us to pay to have them housed, feed, to guard them and provide whatever they want by law. And don't forget the family - the children left on the outside, that now need to be taken care of as well.
What we hear then is Thank you God, just keep him/her there"! WHY? Because for years we have paid and been abused by these inmates as children and teenagers.
